I started making these treats for the love and health of my horses. I wanted to stay as natural as possible and steer clear of processed and man-made ingredients. I began using herbs but was frustrated as I saw most of them attached to the horses' muzzles, the ground around, or watched them blow away in the air as I poured the feed in the pans. I knew there had to be a better way. So the research began....

I also want to say THANK YOU to my wonderful husband, Tom who has supported and encouraged me through this whole process! He even came up with the slogan for our treats. Thank you honey, I love you.

Our horses gobbled them up and looked for more!!!!! ~ The Gilland Family, Muskegon, MI
My horses loved them so much, I think you should add a caution disclaimer, something like, "Warning, tastey treats may cause grabby, frisky behavior in some horses." :-) ~ Michelle Smith, South Boardman, MI
The Savvy Snacks were a HUGE hit by the way, too. Those horses would do anything for them :) They wouldn't take any other treats. Most of them had no idea what treats were when they first came. Now anything less than Savvy Snacks will probably be ignored. I love that they are healthy too; I'm not a big fan of giving peppermints or just sugar treats; I like them to have nutritional benefits as well.
